I just found out my EX wife was still legally married to her first husband while we were married. I was husband #2 and had NO idea this was the case. I understand the state regards our marriage as invalid. However, is there anything I need to do legally? Do I need to file anything, have it annulled? Or is it all a mute point now? I do not wish to prosecute her. Her third husband contacted me after he found out that she was still legally married to husband #1 while he was divorcing her. His marriage is also invalid, he did have her arrested and she was jailed for bigamy. I just want to proceed properly and do whatever I need to do - if anything.

How are you proceed and what you do depends on what your objectives are. When is it down with a family law attorney in your area and discuss what it is you hope to accomplish and how you want to proceed outside of the legal domain, that will determine what steps you take with regard to your situation. Probably wouldn't take more than one session with the lawyer. That lawyer can likely also advise you on what steps to take with regard to disentangle in your finances and any other obligations you have with this person not your spouse as well as what steps to take with the commonwealths attorney's office if you decide you have been scammed.

Were you formally divorced before she married the third husband? If you went through any official divorce proceeding and were subject to a division of assets or spousal support, you may want to contact a family law attorney to explore any means to reverse the damage.

Since you mentioned a third husband, I will assume that she divorced you. You may want to consult with your divorce attorney (if you had one; otherwise, consult with a local attorney) to discuss whether there is any benefit to you for pursing any further action against you ex.
