I'm married to a USA citizen and I'm a permanent resident, because of domestic violence I apply to Vawa and my self petition was approved, since I'm a permanent resident can I use my Vawa approval to apply for Cititzenship? Just to clarify I was a permanent resident before I got approved to Vawa. Thank you

Yes! If the "abuser" was a US citizen, you then have the right to apply under the "3 year rule", namely within 2 years and 9 months from the effective date found on your "green card".

Yes. Contact a US immigration attorney to review your timing eligibility.

Yes, you will be treated as if you were still married to/living together with the citizen spouse (even after divorce/separation) for the residence requirement for N-400 applications.

You may seek US citizenship after 3 years as a permanent resident if you obtained VAWA based on spousal abuse or are married to a US citizen and residing with the US citizen. otherwise 5 years after obtaining resident status
