When Can I Close Out Probate In DC

1 views 2 answers
My mother died in 2006, I entered her will into probate at that time and I have a Letter of Administration, I am one of the beneficiaries as well. There is a house and the mortgage due is $160k, there was also a creditor (a nursing home) that filed against the estate for about $3,000, we do not have this money and I want to close out this probate. I am also at a point of possibly losing the house to foreclosure. What are my options?

You may have to sell the house to avoid foreclosure and pay off the nursing home.
