My friend is in the hospital. complications with asthma turned into pneumonia. doctors ruptured her lung during treatment.
She got sick after caring for daughter with cold. couldn't shake cough. went to hospital for care. don't know details of how lung was ruptured. daughter won't give details without authorization from her mom. mom has been heavily sedated for many days. mom is in great pain when she wakes, doctors re-sedate her. doctors have tube in lung to keep it inflated, and are using a needle to help heal the rupture. if unsuccessful, then surgery. hoping mom can be awake long enough to give permission to release details. Have told daughter to give grandma website address to discuss legal options with you. I'll post follow-up information once I get it.
