Citizenship processing time

I am planning to apply for citizenship since I completed 5 years on my greencard. We are going out of country for 1 month during summer vacation(July/ August). If I submit my application now(March), what is the usual processing time. I am in Raleigh NC. I dont want to miss the mail correspondence while we are out of country. Thanks

You will likely get a biometrics appointment within the first 30 days. Someone should be watching your mail though. Processing times are slow throughout the country so it's highly unlikely that you will have anything during your trip but monitor it regardless.

Make sure to travel after having attended your biometrics appointment, which is usually scheduled for about a month after the receipt of your N-400. Can attend it sooner if need to travel. The usual processing time for N-400s currently nationwide is anywhere from 7 to 11 months.

All of the answers are correct. Get your biometrics done before you travel which will happen if you file in March. The current processing time for the N-400 is 225 days per USCIS.

You should be okay. Just in case make arrangements to have your mail picked up and have the person notify you if the appointment comes in . Do the fingerprints and bio metrics before departing.
