In 2011 or 2012 I had an hysterectomy with a 6 weeks recovery time. On post-op f/u visit I told the dr I felt a pinching/pulling especially, If I stand up to quickly. I was told it was norman due to the amount of pulling to remove cervix. I experience some pitching, but dismiss it as part of having the hysterectormy. On 3/17/17 My Orthropedic surgent took x-ray of lower back and found staple in my stomach. The Dr office as me what I want them to do about it. I asked for the GYN Dr to call me....I'm still waiting. What recourse do I have

Unlikely that the damages from this staple would rise to the level where malpractice action would be economically justifiable.

NC 4 year statute of repose will be probably be your biggest obstacle. Meet with a malpractice attorney for an opinion based on all your facts.
