Can I re entry the US?

I am a little bit afraid of what I have been hearing about the immigration laws, I am a US Permanent Resident who already applied for US Citizenship and my status is approved waiting for date of appointment, I want to go visit my family in Mexico (I am mexican) but I am afraid I wont be able to re entry or customs can detain me, I have heard from a family member (she is a US Permanent Resident) that her attorney told her to not travel if she doesn't need too but I dont understand why would I be in risk, I have been living here for 6 years, have a job, I am buying a home, pay my taxes, haven't had any criminal record not even traffic tickets. Will I be at risk of re entering the US?

While it is true that whenever you leave and re-enter the US there is risk, it appears to be very low in your case. Looks like you are just waiting on an appointment for your swearing in? Just remember, you cannot claim to be a US Citizen until you are sworn in. Nothing Trump has done will change Mexican Green Card Holders who have no criminal or deportation history.
