How does divorce affect permanent residency and citizenship application?

Two years ago I became a permanent resident (without conditions) after being on an H4 visa. My husband and I will probably divorce soon. How will this affect my green card and possible citizenship application?

Divorce alone does not affect permanent resident status. I would have a possible affect if there is a question of bona fides of the marriage

I agree with Mr. Brown. You should be fine going forward unless USCIS uncovers fraud in your case

Your divorce should not have an impact on your current family based resident status. However, USCIS will review the bona fides of your marital relationship at the time of your naturalization interview.
