How do I end my divorce?

I just received my temporary orders and can not afford the alimony. I am forced to break the lease on my apartment and flee New Hampshire. I requested Court Mediation, which was agreed to but was not informed how you implement. I don't want to fight my spouse, just survive this nightmare. Can I request a summary judgement by the court? If so, will the court try to ensure the results for both parties are equitable and survivable?

You are in a mess. The best way out of the mess is to get with an experienced family law attorney who can look at the alimony amount to see if it is fair and move the case forward.

If your spouse filed for divorce then you cannot dismiss the petition. If you filed the divorce petition then you may be able to dismiss the petition but the court has it approve it, which the court will not do if your spouse also filed a cross-petition for divorce. You may file a motion to request the court to order mediation. Mediation would require your spouse to negotiate in good-faith in order to reach a settlement. Best wishes.
