I've given a tenant a termination of lease notice and he threatened to report me to the police for giving him marijuana and allegedly soliciting marijuana from him if I don't give his security deposit back prior to his vacating.

The police probably wont care about his information, or yours. Just relax and evict him. If you have more to hide than appears, consult an attorney in person.
