I need a lawyer who can help filing Contempt against my sons Father

Business 4 views 2 answers
My son is in Mexico with his Grandmother. His father has Primary custody but it is shared and he did not ask me before letting him leave nor did I sign any papers saying it was ok for him to leave out of the country. His father does not do much to take care of him, his grandmother does all. She is having surgery in Mexico and I feel it is not fair for my son to be there rather then in my care when I am capable of taking care of him in my home in Texas, 15 mintues down the road from his fathers house. His father doesn't answer my calls or texts about days to pick him up or anything else. He doesn't ask for my permission as we have agreed on and I don't feel that is ok. I also have been told that my son will not be here for Mothers Day and that is my Holiday with him. If I could please get someone to contact me with more help, 832-629-6856 or [email protected]

best bet for seeking contempt is when the boy muses a scheduled visitation with h you. You should also modify the order to require notice on out of country travel. Talk to a lawyer

Do not post confidential, personal information anywhere on line. Take the orders to family law counsel to review to determine whether you should file an enforcement or modification. It is unclear to me whether he has violated any court order in your post. You need counsel perhaps to attempt to modify custody. If he had the right to designate residence without geographical restriction then he does not appear to have violated the court order. Your situation is not DIY.
