Class action suit pending? or seek private counsel?

There is a class action suit pending against Victoria Secret in regards to their use of Polyurethane Foam in their bras; causing a serious rash, with itching and inflammation. I have had such a rash for approx. 8 months, shortly after I purchased "Bare Essentials" bras in April 2008. I saw a women suing Victoria Secret on KIRO news in Nov. 2008, and she described my symptoms exactly. (Saw a dermatoligist in Sept. 2008, and again in Dec. 2008) He agreed that the rash could be an allergy to polyurathane foam found in these bras. I have since stopped wearing these bras, and the rash is clearing up, no itch now, with prescription lotion: cleocin-T. I am out $207 to the dermatologist, about $5 for the lotion, and gave away 4 bras, valued at approx $30 each. Is there anything that I can do to get reimbursed. There should be a warning about polyurathane allergy (like some people are allergic to latex). Any, advice, input, resource recommendations would be appreciated.

From what you've written here, you may be a potential class member to the pending action. Many times, the information surrounding a class action lawsuit will show a phone number (often toll free) that you can call to get information about the suit, your rights, and what to do if you believe you have been harmed in the same way(s) as the plaintiffs representing the class of all those similarly harmed. If you can, call the phone number (or view the website) and get as much information as you can. If there is no phone number available, contact the court in which the action is filed for more information, or hire an excellent attorney to work with you to identify and understand the information. You have many options when it comes to a class action suit, including hiring the attorneys that represent the "model" plaintiffs or hiring your own counsel. You do not, however, want to wait to take action. Get as much information about the suit as quickly as you can, and make a decision about joining the class, or filing you own suit. Be sure to keep ALL your records and evidence regarding these events. Your and your attorney will benefit greatly if all applicable information is available to support your cause of action. In any instance, when the negligent acts of one have harmed another, the person harmed is due just and fair compensation for their injuries - financial or otherwise. Good luck, and all the best. In addition to the sound advice previously provided, you may also wish to contact KIRO news and ask if they have the name of the attorney representing the woman that they interviewed...it would shock me if the woman's attorneys were not aware of the interview, and if the news station had not spoken with her attorneys before putting her on the air.
