she has full custody. I have visitation and live in another state. it was difficult to pay child support and pay to fly there 3 times a year to see him. now she left the country and I received a returned check no one at address. she emails me rotten notes about being a deadbeat father. I work 40-60 hours a week and have had the same job for 10 years??? she filed a motion for unpaid support to which I complied and am again paying child support. still no son in my life

you say she has left the country File a motion to modify in the family court if you have an order setting out the visits. If not ask for one If she has made the visits more expensive then you should ask that she pay the difference If you have the same job arrange for Child support to be paid through the office of child support , this will protect you and the "returned " checks will not be an issue

Everything above is correct. In addition to that, you need to figure out which court will have jurisdiction over your action to modify the support. The easiest way to do that is to find a family lawyer near the mother of the child, which will likely know the answer immediately and tell you whether or not they can help during the consultation. Be careful to explain whether or not you're interested in changing visitation, or child support only. It may be that jurisdiction is different if you're seeking to modify parent-child contact (often such jurisdiction lies where the child resides, after the child has lived there for a certain period of time).
