What are my legal options with a slanderous ex employee who stole company info to start up her own business?

2 views 2 answers
this employee had been talked to several times about work performance and attitude and eventually was reprimanded with a day's suspension, but she instead resigned and began contacting my board of directors personally with completely false accusations which is not factual and, therefore, has no proof. she also stole company information to start up her own business of the same nature and has begun personally contacting my clients with the same slanderous information. my current lawyer has sent 2 cease and desist letters with a threat of other options, yet she continues with her slander as my company is paying the price with loss of clients and board members resigning. I am a small non-profit organization who just got to the point, after 10 years of diligence, of being a separate entity.
