I KNOW THIS ISN'T MEDICAL MALPRACTICE, BUT CAN I SUE FOR INTENTIONAL SEVERE EMOTIONAL DISTRESS? OR ANY OTHER KIND OF LEGAL CASE?
In 2015 I was diagnosed with congestive heart failure (CHF) due to chemotherapy from 2006. Since 2015, it's been 1 medical issue after another. Since this March, I had extreme edema with extreme diabetic neuropathy and was in the hospital all month which resulted in not being able to walk without a walker ever since. Then I had a hysterectomy where they found cancer, but got it all. I have arthritis in my spine and have 2 procedures. The 2nd cancer diagnosis was too much for me and my anxiety / depression, which had worsened since 2015, that I had thoughts of harming myself. My pcp suggested a facility. I checked myself in within hours (May 25 2017). The facility got my short term disability paperwork approx. June 5th. My employer needed that paperwork last week. They never filled it out. I brought it to the providers attention 10 times. At this time I do not know if I have a job. Or when all the money paid out to all mental / medical providers will be rescinded and paid from my employer to me on fmla / std will be rescinded. I may lose my car, apt, credit cards, health care, job, good credit score and be sent to various collection agencies. Do I have any kind of legal case?
