Shelter Credits are always hotly debated. Custodial parents hate people cutting into their budgets and non-custodial parents, feel as the law states that they should not pay for Shelter twice. So as the first attorney indicated you may get the full credit, but chances are you will not unless your attorney can maneuver things very swiftly. Hire a lawyer and if you have an agreement already the question is answered by virtue of the agreement.
