I was wondering if a marriage is legal and binding if I had no witnesses present wile the marriage sermon was happening.

When I got married there was no witnesses there to see us get married. They came in after the marriage happened and sign the certificate that we had to fill out.

It depends on the laws of the state. If you got married with a legal minister who can authorize the marriage and the paperwork was appropriate, it was probably legal. You should contact the county office where you filed the license.
