hi, I completed, signed, submitted a request for reconsideration form SSA-561-U2 on a social security matter. I checked off the "case review" option, however, I know feel that I should have gone with the "informal conference option". It has not been 60 days yet. Can I submit another request for reconsideration with my new selection on the matter ? jane

No reason to worry or amend the appeal. When you are denied hire a lawyer and prepare for the ALJ hearing.

I have found the informal conferences a waste of time. The reviewing office has made up its mind and those conference just delay things in getting a hearing. It takes long enough to get a hearing when request, over 1 year, and you do not want to waste the additional time with the informal conference.
