Go to a local attorney and start a divorce. You need legal representation. The response does not form an attorney-client relationship, nor is it intended to be anything other than the opinion of the author. It should not be relied upon as legal advice. The response given is based upon the limited facts provided by the person asking the question. To the extent additional or different facts exist, the response might possibly change. Attorney is licensed to practice law only in the State of Georgia. If it's agreed, I can sell you one of my DO IT YOURSELF KITS for $200. If it's not agreed, then you will need to hire an attorney and have him "served" at the prison. It's not hard because you definately know where he is located and he will be "served" at the prison front door. Some attorneys won't handle "prison" divorces. I've done several. If you are in Harris County, you can give me a call. How much? Depends how where he is located and how much the sheriff in his county charges to serve him and how much trouble he is to deal with. My initial fee to start the divorce is $1,000 (this includes the filing fee in Harris County). It might cost more if he tries to be difficult. I'm going to the Advanced Family law seminar August 8-15th so I won't be in town that week. So you'll have to wait until after that for an appointment. [email protected] 713-847-6000.
