Case has been in court since 2013 in 2 states and I need an attorney willing to stand up for a father! Summary: mother takes children out of the state of NC and moves to TN with a married man while still married to father. Been fighting to get the kids back 2 NC but NC Deemed TN their home state since the case was dragged on for 2 years. Got a lawyer in Tennessee paid $30,000 to get less than I had to begin with. Mother openly admitted in court that she took the children in 2013 without telling the father and cheated and also openly admitted in court that she does not co-parent as far as school medical or anything with the father and also due to her work schedule her mom and 86 year old grandma has the children 75% of,the time. I have paid her over $85,000 in support I have drove halfway to Cleveland TN since 2013 every other weekend and have never missed a weekend with my children. Now I received an order from the judge and it is worse than before and nothing was ever acknowledged about her taking the children. Then my attorney quits on me! so I need an attorney that is willing to fight for father's rights that actually cares about the case and not how much money they can get..

There are law firms that primarily represent husbands in divorces. You might start with one of those firms in your area. However, there are no particular "father's" rights. There are parents' rights. Attorneys in family practice do their best to advocate for parents with a given set of facts. Courts also try to balance several factors when deciding what is in the best interest of the children. Your attorney may not have had the best facts to work out a better parenting plan for you. Attorneys must perform under rules of professional responsibility that exist to protect the client. Find an attorney with a great reputation and one who has not had any complaints filed with the Board of Professional Responsibility.
