I-140 approved. Confused

Business 4 views 4 answers
I have applied for EB 3 visa. My I-140 got approved. My Priority Date (PD) shows current. Will the NVC contact me only if my PD is current? What is the next step I should be looking for from the NVC? How much time generally it takes for one to get the immigration visa ?

Don't you have an attorney who could enlighten you now as to the "next step"? Make sure to work with an experienced attorney. To interact with NVC and finally appear at your IV interview at your home country US consulate could take a minimum of 6 months or much more, depending on who is assisting you, as well as how busy your US consulate is.

Reach out affirmatively to NVC if yout PD is current and you are planing to seek an immigrant visa at a consulate. File for adjustment of status if you are in the USA.

If you are in the US you need to file for Adjustment of Status, not consular processing. You have an attorney so use him or her.
