I am going to assume you are licensed and insured in NC. 90/65 creates lots of problems. First, there is a statute that says a conviction of more than 15 mph over the limit and faster than 55 mph will result in an automatic 30 revocation of your license. You could probably get a limited driving privilege for that time if you have never been revoked before. A conviction at a speed greater than 75 mph will get you 4 license points. Getting to 12 (not more than 12) in any 3 year period can lead to a revocation of your license for up to a year. It also creates 3 insurance points which can cause up to a 90% increase in your insurance. If you hire a lawyer you can probably get this reduced to avoid or minimize the consequences to you. To add to Mr. Maddox's answer, you should definitely hire local counsel. Depending upon which judge is in court on the day of your hearing, you will probably be read the riot act by the judge. One Durham judge in particular is known for creative sentencing and that speed will definitely get the judge's attention. I have seen that judge chew out the defendant (this defendant was doing 105 in a 65) and inappropriately the defendant's attorney, so be forewarned.
