CR1 Visa income question
I am newly married and my primary source of income does not meet 125% of the Federal Poverty level in order to sponsor my husband. I am actively seeking additional employment to satisfy the requirement. My concern is that the consular officer will deny my petition based on the job being so new, as I wish to submit my I-130 and I-130A soon after acquiring the new job. Should I wait a few months before applying or am I worrying too much? It will take a few months to get to the NOA2 stage anyways, right? If you suggest I wait, roughly how many pay stubs is advisable to prove longevity at my new job (since I will probably be filing prior to the end of this tax season). A cosponsor is not an option for us--we've already asked family. Thank you.
