What do I file now to get a hearing?

Business 3 views 2 answers
I live in RI and have sent my tenants the 30 notice since they are month to month tenants and I am having a family member move in. They did not vacate. I then sent and had them serviced with the 20 day notice for eviction with No response. The 20 days is up. What do I file with the courts tomorrow to get a hearing?

Believe it or not, you now in the last few years have to file a motion to assign at least 10 days in advance of the hearing to set a trial date, and certify you mailed a copy to the address. And you will get a trial date in the future. Best to seek the help of an attorney.

To handle the matter in the court, you are well advised to seek the assistance of an attorney to assist you.
