Residential time and child support are two different issues. If you make more money than the other parent you will probably have a support obligation, even though you share equal time. Support is usually income driven and that is not necessarily equal.

You could. equal custody standing alone is not a basis to waive child support. the payment of alimony and the payment of child support are for 2 different purposes. A lot will depend upon the incomes of each parent and whether there is some agreement to pay for the children's other expenses. I recommend you speak with an attorney about this.

As noted in prior answers, Alimony and Child Support are two distinct issues in divorce matters. Alimony is based upon one party's need and the other party's ability to pay. Child support is based upon a mathematical formula. Even if there is a shared parenting arrangement, that in an of itself, is not a reason for the Court to deviate from the Child Support Guidelines. The totality of the circumstances would greatly impact what if any deviation would be made for child support purposes and what if any alimony would be awarded. You definitely want to speak with and work with a knowledgeable family law attorney in New Hampshire before executing any settlement documents or attempting to represent yourself in a Court of law.
