Is it legal for a hospital or Hospital staff to deny me info on my toddlers treatment plan, goals, medications medical staff ?
We were sent to the hospital after being evacuated from Houston during Hurricane Harvey. It was a non-emergent basis, just to check out my child due to delicate medical conditions. We were discharged as there was no medical reason to stay. Next morning CPS shows up to take my child. Stating Medical Child Abuse/Munchausens. They treated my daughter for nearly 2 weeks and raised no concerns to me. My child was born at 23 weeks so she has delays, respiratory issues, possible seizure disorder, is apnic, she is underweight but again she is a micropreemie. They stated that she is under Therapuetic Separation. Her primary medical team nor private duty nurses have not been consulted to my knowledge, they won't take my calls, won't provide me with medical updates, will not allow me to see my daughter. I feel like as a parent I should have rights. I have no idea what they are doing to my daughter or how she is doing. There doesn't seem to be a real investigation, I have not been interviewed, nor any of the references. I have full documentation of her medications, conditions and day to day notes from private duty nursing. She was diagnosed with conditions by doctors and specialist
