What are my rights regarding being videotaped without consent & shown to another party leading to severe persona repercussions?

I was videotaped without my knowledge nor consent. The video shows myself and my companion in an intimate moment. That video was shared via Facebook Instant Messenger video to one of the parties spouse. This has now led to a separation involving having to lease an apartment and potential divorce. I've heard about the video, however have not seen it. What can I do?

What you are describing is a crime. Here is a link to the relevant Florida Statute regarding this issue. http://www.leg.state.fl.us/Statutes/index.cfm?App_mode=Display_Statute&Search_String=&URL=0900-0999/0934/Sections/0934.03.html I would recommend that you consult and retain an experienced family law attorney in the Tampa area to advise you on the best course of action. You may also want to contact law enforcement to report this matter. I wish you the best of luck.

There are both civil and criminal ramifications to what occurred. You can file a complaint with local law enforcement, although understand that this will be a very public proceeding and might do more emotional damage to you than not reporting it. You can also sue the individual responsible under a common law tort called "invasion of privacy."

Call the police as soon as possible so they can begin an investigation. On the civil side, I would contact an attorney in your area who deals with this type of privacy law for a possible civil action against the person who did this.
