Hi was was cited for a 22450 a VC violation or fail to stop/full stop at a stop sign violation. I am planing to fight my case since I believed i fully stopped at the stop sign. My question is if I fight my case and lose can I still go to traffic school so take out the point from DMV? "there is no stop sign on the ground and the stop sign is on the right that is not very vissible by that time since there is always a truck parking near the stop sign" "on my ticket the police draw that im from North going West but the on the street that im on im from West going South" Do you have any suggestion if should i fight my case or just pay the ticket and go to traffice school?it happened in the corner of CENTRAL and 8th STREET for view of the street in LOS ANGELES Thank you!!

Fight it. Read the statute. The line you refer to is the limit line, you were written up for failing to stop at or before it. So if there is no line, that's a good fact for you. Mistakes may also help you. Traffic school is at the discretion of the court. Some bench officers won't authorize traffic school if you go to trial, others will. Ask in the court. If you don't want to handle it yourself, find an attorney to help you.

This isn't a big deal. Red light/Green light. You "believing" you stopped will likely not convince the judge if the officer testifies otherwise. Opt for traffic school if eligible.

You can fight it- but some judges will grant traffic school after hearing the facts from officer.

You can at least set it for trial and find out if the officer shows up or not. If officer shows up you probably should take the school. If you are not eligible, then fight it regardless. If you really want to fight it and are eligible for traffic school, be respectful and give it your best shot. Do not accuse the officer of lying and do not say anything demeaning or anything else that makes you seem like a jerk to the judge. That way you will get your say in court and if you lose, the judge will hopefully still give you traffic school. If you want to fight it and are eligible, you might want to consider hiring an attorney though. It is very difficult not to get upset at a trial and understandably so and as I mentioned, losing your cool could cost you traffic school. Good luck.
