Defected ramp caused a fall and don't know how serious the injuries are.

My concern is regarding a ramp purchased and was delivered two days ago. I put it together and tested the stability by just walking on it. As I was coming down the ramp, I lost my balance by bumping in the defected corner of the ramp landing on my knee and rolled down. I just sent a request to return the ramp. I took pictures. But I think I should slow down a little. My questions are: Should I return the Ramp? Will I need to have it physically for evidence? Who do I report it to for making a defective complaint? How will my Medical expenses work? I had previous injury in the knee, does that mean I can't prove Its re injured? Thank you

Do not return the ramp until you ascertain your injuries as physical control of the ramp is paramount to prove your case. Medicare and Medicaid will maintain liens for medical expenses incurred. You can always claim exacerbation of a prior injury.

If you have serious injuries you will have a serious case, Serious cases require serious proof and serious costs; it takes money to make money. Filing a lawsuit is about a $500 cost. Medical doctors' depositions routinely cost $1,500 and up. Engineering doctors cost roughly the same. So, the other lawyers' questions about the seriousness of your injuries is paramount: If you have an injury that requires $10,000-$100,000 in medical bills, and you want a jury verdict in that amount, then saving a $100 ramp is nothing by comparison.
