On my second visit, i was tan on my legs, but she said she would try it anyway. It was very painful and burned like hell. I called her the next day when there were blisters all over my legs and she prescribed me a burn cream to pick up at the drug store. I have never returned to her.

You can certainly sue, but I'd be curious to know how long it's been since you had the procedure? If it hasn't been that long, you should give it some time to see if it goes away on it's own. With laser hair removal, the burns usually go away after a few days at the mist. THESE COMMENTS ARE NOT LEGAL ADVICE. They are provided for informational purposes only. You need to establish negligence before you can determine if a suit will lead to likely recovery. Do some research as to laser removal. You indicate that you presented for treatment while you were tan. Do the research to learn whether the "laser tech" should have had any greater knowledge and should have denied the treatments. Or, find an attorney who has handled such cases previously. And, yes, see if the blisters go away, because if there is no long term scarring, the likelihood of having a recoverable case goes down. You should rely only on the advice given to you during a personal consultation by a local attorney who is thoroughly familiar with state laws and the area of practice in which your concern lies.

What you should do is find an attorney that specifically practices medical malpractice before you do anything else that could potentially have an adverse effect on your case. Because there are different filing requirements for medical malpractice suits in Florida, many general personal injury attorneys chose to avoid medical malpractice suits. Since you are in Venice, I would recommend finding an attorney from a bigger metropolitan area in Florida that does mostly medical malpractice on a day-to-day basis.
