In all states, after receiving a DUI in any jurisdiction in the United States, your insurance will be significantly more expensive for the next several years. Many factors a considered in calculating your insurance rate, and each company has its own formula. If you have a DUI conviction, shop around for better rates, they can differ between carriers.

Unless the claimed alcohol report is .08-.09, then it will stay on the drivers license record forever, under current law. I believe most insurance companies will look back five years in setting rates, but you can call them and ask. FFI: http://www.liberty-lawyer.com/dwiduidrivingrelated.html

Generally speaking insurance companies will look back 3 to 5 years for purposes of increased insurance premiums, depending on the company and whether you switch providers during the time a DWI is on your record. Check your insurance policy for more details.
