Asking for someone I know. He's starting the process of a divorce. Was forced out of the house he owns and is protected by a prenuptial agreement. He's told her she needs to find some place else to go or he'll get one for her violent outbursts. She's been arrested once in the past for assault. She said she'd file one in him, ending his career in law enforcement. She then seems to have started trying to drain his bank accounts. He's trying to get in with an attorney this coming week, but I want to make sure he can be protected from her.

It is possible to have orders against one another. Most likely only temporarily. The plaintiff must show some evidence of abuse or harassment to get an initial temporary restraining order. Initially, there is a low standard of proof. To keep an order of protection in place past two weeks, the court holds a hearing. Make sure you hire an attorney should you be named a defendant for such a hearing.
