Citizenship Interview and same day oath possible in Boston?

Business 2 views 1 answers
My citizenship interview is september 27th in Boston at the JFK building. I was hoping that I could be sworn in the same day since I am currently attending graduate school in the UK and it is difficult for me to take time off school and its expensive as well. Does it count against me that I will be doing a masters in the UK (12 months long) or should I just not mention it? I fully intend to come back to the US after and I am going to reenter every 6 months but it would just be more convenient if I could get it done all at once. Anyway particular way I should go about asking for the same day oath? Does the Boston office even do the same day oath?

At times, you may make a request with the USCIS and the federal court available judge to get sworn in as a U.S. Citizen. it is rarely done, yet given the circumstances, if the USCIS may accomodate you especially since you are compelled to study abroad. Upon such request the Service has to furnish your Certificate of Naturalization at the federal court to be verified and signed and then an available federal judge may administer an Oath of Allegiance to you. Make inquiries with the local USCIS office and the Federal District Court in Boston if that could be permitted.
