I went to the dentist to have my teeth polished and i felt that that my dentist was being careless in what he was doing. Well he ended up giving me a cut on my face that took 3 stitches, and i still have the scar on my face which im very self conscious about, he stitched me himself and told me it would heal just fine but unfortunately i have a scar on my face now i shouldn't have.

Yes. The dentist was negligent and you are entitled to damages. I would see a plastic surgeon for a quote on how much it's going to cost to fix the problem then write the dentist a demand for payment otherwise indicate that you intend to pursue a lawsuit. If the dentist doesn't bite you'll need to find an attorney who practices in the area of medical malpractice or personal injury work to assist you. Often times you can find an attorney who will accept your case on a contingent fee basis so little or no money is required to pursue your claim upfront. If you need help pursuing your claim let me know.

Yes you have a claim against the dentist. Cutting your face is not something you reasonably should have expected when you went in for the polishing. Please be certain you have photographs of the cut and scarring at its worse. Find a personal injury attorney who has handled dental malpractice cases. I concur with the other two attorneys. You do have a cause of action and from the facts as you have stated, this may be a case worth pursuing. Speak with a personal injury attorney in your area immediately and see what can be done. All the best.
