Can my landlord come to my worksite to make demands from my boss regarding my rental?

Our property is in dangerous shape. In August 2010 A dead tree fell on our car causing much damage. We told the landlord about the trees in writing a few months earlier. After trying to comprimise on rent and car repair costs, landlord demanded rent and placed eviction letter on our door. We choose to move giving her 2 weeks notice. We paid for the month of August and gave her our $1,200. deposit to cover September if she could not rerent. Now she is calling us demanding money for Sept and Oct 2010, threatining my job and showing up in my county run office working her way into the executive directors office attacking my character and upsetting the work place. I am scared of her and dont know if she can come to my jobsite.

No, she can't do that. There are federal laws on how to go about collecting a debt and that would be in violation of those laws. If she were to do it, she would be exposing herself to liability. Consult with a civil attorney if this happens. THESE COMMENTS ARE NOT LEGAL ADVICE. They are provided for informational purposes only. She cannot. I would recommend that you retain an attorney at once and take action against her. DISCLAIMER: This answer given is for general information purposes only.
