You have a viable premises negligence case against the owner/operator of the store if there was a dangerous condition on the floor which the owner/operator knew or should have know about and it caused you injury. You may also have a viable claim against someone other than the owner/operator of the store if you can show another entity caused or created the dangerous condition and failed to warn of its existence or prevent access to the dangerous condition. The value of your case depends on the amount of medical bills and lost wages you incurred so far and the amount you will incur in the future (economic damages) plus pain and suffering damages (non-economic damages). These numbers will depend on the severity and permanency of your injuries according to your medical records.

negligence case requires certain elements of proof. There are too many variables that need to be discussed to give you the answer that you are looking for. The best thing is to actually sit down with an attorney and discuss all the important specifics. If there is an injury, with damages, and the fall was the result of some conduct that was not reasonable under the circumstance, then maybe, just maybe, a case might exist. Contact a local lawyer to talk specifics. Good luck to you. Note: This answer is made available by the lawyer for educational purposes only. It sounds as if you may have a case against both the vendor and the grocery store. There is a 4 year statute of limitation on slip and fall cases in the state of Florida. I would suggest that you contact a personal injury attorney as soon as possible to discuss your case.
