The following is based upon a presumption that you did not receive a denial after a hearing before a judge, with legal representation: My first question would be are you disputing the denials, or are you just filing new claims. You are not going to wear them down, so you need to dispute the denials. If your last denial was within 60 days, file a request for reconsideration. If your last denial was more than 60 days ago, file a new claim and put down both SSI and SSDI. If you are denied, file a request for reconsideration within 60 days. If the request for reconsideration is denied file a request for a hearing, within 60 days of the denial. After either of these denials, you should likely consider getting an attorney. It should be a contingent fee relationship, which means that if the attorney does not win your claim, then there are no attorney's fees. Make sure that you have medical opinions to support your position that you are unable to work on a reasonable, continuous basis. I don't know where in MA you live, but keep in mind that SS is a federal system, so an attorney licensed anywhere in the US can represent you, although it is often best to get a local attorney. Don't give up just yet.
