How do i get rights for an unborn child

My ex girl friend and i broke up and now shes saying she is pregnant and that i should sign my rights away or she will come after me for child support and that ill never get to see him/her because of my background. I dont want to sign away my rights and if the childis mine what sort of actions can i take to make sure i can see it.

You can petition to establish paternity of the child if she is refusing to acknowledge you as the father. As part of that, you can look to establish a custody (parenting time for both parents) order. Talk to a family law attorney near you for more information.
