If it was your first time getting in trouble with the law with your record clean, & you got a curfew violation and the cop said you had to go to court for it, whats the worst the judge can give you? (For a minor)

This is a relatively minor offense, similar to a traffic citation. Most likely, you will have to go to the municipal court where the prosecutor will offer deferred disposition, meaning that they will defer prosecution of the offense as long as you stay out of trouble for 30-90 days and pay a fine. So, as long as you have no other offenses during the probationary period, this will not become part of your criminal record. I would be glad to discuss this with you. 512-472-8318

This is a minor matter. You should receive a deferred probation for 60 to 90 days, community service, a small fine and court cost. Sometimes a court will allow you to do additional community service rather than paying a fine. In other words you work off your fine through performing community service. You will need to take a parent with you if you are under 18.
