How do I authenticate an email if I want to use it as evidence in Family court?

Bankruptcy and Debt 3 views 2 answers
I would like to use emails as evidence to prove my side of the issue since my ex often lies to protect his interests. The problem is that I know that he will deny them as he already told another story in court. We have an actual trial date coming up to resolve our custody dispute and I want to be sure I have everything in order. Will the Commissioner ask for authenticity or will he accept the original printed email?

Family Court is fairly informal; if you bring in the emails with his name on the account the judge will accept them. Family judges don't like dealing with authentication problems.

They shouldn't be an issue, unless he has an attorney and they bring some type of objection, which can happen. Good Luck!
