Will I go to jail for driving without insurance if it is a first offense?

I have a court date coming up, and It's for driving without Car Insurance, But I have bought new car insurance shorty after getting pulled over. It would be my first offense. I read that I could be charged with a $500-$5000 fine and/or up to 1 year in a house of corrections. What are my chances of going to jail/house of corrections?

Slim to none. The penalties you mentioned are for a conviction. Most first offense uninsured cases are dismissed on the date of arraignment when the defendant show up with proof of valid insurance. The likely outcome in your situation is a dismissal, with maybe a small fine.
