NY Unclaimed Funds & Child Support Judgment?

I was browsing the NY Unclaimed Funds website and saw that my son's father is listed. My son's father has a judgment for unpaid child support of over $10,000 and is currently incarcerated for non-payment. How do I make a claim on the funds?

Contact the NYS Comptroller at the address on the website; I believe they have a form in which you can make a claim. They will send you a claim form, and you will have to send a certified copy of the judgment to make the claim. I know that the IRS and NYS itself have successfully taken such monies if they have a claim against the payee; I am not sure if individuals with judgments have that right, but it is worth the attempt.
