NY State Child Support Laws: Downward Modification of Child Support.

I live in NYC; I have 3 children from two different mariages. I am in the auto sales industry where everything was great, but after the crash of the economy three manths ago my income has decreased by 50% At this point i can not afford an attorney. What should i do? What sort of evidence do I need to backup a downward mod? Is Form 4-11b (Affidavit in Support of of Modification of Support) the proper form to file? What else can/should I do? Thanks

I'm assuming you still have a job but your commissions are down. A letter from your employer explaining the percentage at which sales have decreased at the dealership would be a start. You may have to bring the employer in to testify. You need to file ASAP because you can only get a modification retroactive to the date of filing.
