How can myself as a minor take legal action on another minor or my school for slander?

I am currantly a 14 year old 8th grader and when the slandering took place was while I was in 6th grade. One day my neighbore had her friend come over and I had mine and we went over there because we had nothing to do. We jumped on a trampoline and then my friend and I left. Next week at school, the older brother started a rumor saying I molested his sister because he thought it would be funny. At the time I didnt want to do anything legal because I figured it was just a rumor, but apparantly the school heard about it and called the police, without me being notified. Then nothing happened with it until last month when my principle used it (as though it were truth) against me as one of their reasons for expelling me, and now its sticking on my record. Can I take any legal action about this?
You and your parent (or guardian, if you don't live with a parent) have to consult an attorney. There are statutes of limitations involved, as to when you, as a minor, have to sue, and when the other kid, as a minor, can be sued. I don't know Iowa law, but the principal can probably be sued at any time during your minority and for some period afterward.
Your parent or guardian would sue on your behalf, as you can't sue in your own name until you become an adult. It is imperative that you consult an attorney, who may take this case on a contingent basis.
You didn't say why you were expelled, but the other reasons may sharply reduce any damages (money) you could recover from a judge or jury.

You can, but why? If you win $1,000,000.00 ther is no insurance for an intentional vs a negligent act. You expect to take his lunch money? I suggest discussing this with your parents who can contact his parents.
