Can I get a open container citaion off my driving record?

I went to get my driving record for a driving job, as requested by potential employer. Everything looked good except for a open container charge from 1989, needless to say I did'nt get the job... What advice could anyone give me?
First of all, it depends upon whether or not you were convicted, or adjudication was withheld. If you were convicted, then the answer is no, you cannot remove it from your record. If adjudication was withheld, then, yes, you will be eligible to have that charge sealed, or closed so that a prospective private employer cannot see it. Good luck.
Since this is probably not a criminal charge, but a civil citation for open container in a vehicle, you are dealing with the Fla. Dept. of Motor Vehicle records and not a record subject to sealing or expunging by statute.
That being said, I do not know of a way to alter a driving history, conviction or no. I would suggest contacting an attorney who does administrative agency work, particularly one who may deal with the DMV in Florida.
I recommend contacting Florida DUI & traffic ticket lawyer Devon Porcella from your area. His address is located at 330 Clematis St. Suite 113 in West Palm Beach, Florida 3340, Phone: 561.989.9999. I've consulted with him in the past regarding Florida situations and I am sure that he will provide a free consultation. I've found him to be knowledgeable and helpful.
