I don't know when I am supposed to appear in court, and am now in the hospital. What do I do now? Where can I look up the information?

Speak to a local attorney and have him/her look it up for you and advise you about your rights and whether they think you have a defendable case or not. Good luck.

You should have received a citation that has the appearance date. You can always call the DA’s office to find out the date. Robert Driessen www.driessen-litigation.com

You didn't say which county you were cited in. If you were cited in Sacto. County, call (or have someone call for you) the Superior Court's website allows you to look up criminal cases based on name and date of birth. (The website is located here: https://services.saccourt.com/indexsearchnew/CaseType.aspx) If you were arrested in another county, have someone see if that county allows internet searches for case information. If not, call the Superior Court clerk's office and give them your name and date of birth. If it looks like you'll be in the hospital when your court date arrives and you do not have an attorney, call the clerk's office to see if they'll allow a family member to stand in for you. The family member should be prepared to say which hospital you are in and what for.
