1. What family law experience they have in community and percent of their practice is devoted to family law. 2. Whether they are able to settle their cases/do they use mediation or collaborative law. 3. Have they settled or tried cases with the other attorney. Does he or she expect to have cooperation from the other attorney or will everything be a motion in court. 4. What is their trial experience if it has to go that far. 5. What do you need to do to help keep the cost down, i.e gather records/witnesses/appraisals
