We got a child and family investigator for my child for my divorce. I just got the report and nearly EVERYTHING i told her is missing! Far as I can tell it wasn't purposeful, but my information was all submitted to the CFI last year when she was assigned to my case. My husband just turned his stuff in last month. Now all my information is missing! I'm smeared across the page and he's getting off scot free and I'm afraid its not whats best for my daughter. I feel very strongly that to make an educated decision on where my daughter should be living and everything, ALL the information needs to be presented. My husband has a lawyer. I can't afford one. Is the ANYTHING i can do here??? I'm strongly concerned for my daughter! My husband has sever physical abuse towards me, a history of neglecting his daughter, and most of all, the main point of my case, he has proven SEVERAL times that he is more than willing to use our daughter to get back at me. This is ridiculous! Please! if nothing else is there anyone I can talk to about getting some legal advice in my state? Deos anyone know of any lawyers that are on a sliding scale or something like that? Please help ASAP! Court is on WEdnesday the 28th of Jan, 09! HELP!

There is nothing to do. A Colorado CFI can only be complained upon through the court where he appears. This means attacks to his licensure are shielded by the court and no matter how incompetently or corruptly your CFI acts, the judge will do nothing. For this reason alone the CFI can minimize his interactions with the family and produce a thread bare report. Testimony is nothing more than a subjective assessment. This is current policy throughout this country.
