Class C Misdemeanor without conviction

A friend of mine was not convicted of a Class C Misdemeanor. He did not serve any time what is so ever because he was under the age of eighteen and his parent paid his dues in exchange of the dues being paid. He did not go on probation or anything of that sort. But, he enlisted into the US military and all of a sudden it hit him that he did this sort of thing. But, since then, he has not done a single thing that would effect him. He did pay the infractions that he did have and thought nothing of it. But, would this class c misdemeanor be on his FBI background check because he is afraid now that he will now get disqualified since he could not think about it? What do I need to tell him to ease his mind? What would his next step be, either way?

His YO file should be sealed and invisible for background check purposes. Even if his YO record were discovered, it is very unlikely that he would be disqualified for military service due to being adjudicated as a YO by way of a class C misdemeanor. I think you should tell him to relax and not worry. Unless something happens to him as a result of his YO status being uncovered, there is nothing to be done about this.
