Contact the clerk of the court in which you were to report and ask if they will accept a late plea of not guilty or if they will accept your payment with a plea of guilty. Usually, if you haven't waited too long, they will understand and accept either one that you choose. Good luck.

Embarrassingly enough, i did this in Ohio once. Generally the Court enters a conviction and assesses a fine, but does not issue a warrant for a simple speeding ticket. If you do not want to deal with the conviction in some way, you can probably contact the Clerk of the Circuit Court in the county you were stopped in and pay the judgment. If this has a negative effect on you driver's license in Michigan, you may wish to hire a lawyer in Ohio to go to court and straighten out the outcome of the case. Please understand that answering this doesn’t create an attorney/client relationship between us, and as hard as I try to answer your question well, it isn’t legal advice. No matter how much information you put into a question, the answers you are going to get are still going to be vague. It is in your interest to contact a lawyer, most of whom will do a free consultation. Even 15 minutes with a lawyer is going to produce a more specific answer to your problem.
